MACP's Fifth Year at Glendale Public Library
The Mill Ave Chamber Players has received the Glendale Performing Arts Partnership Grant from the City of Glendale to continue the "Live at the Library" Series. Previously funded to hold concerts at the main public library every Thursday for 25 years. After losing all funding in the 2012-2013 season, the ensemble was approached about collaborating to bring professional concerts to the series through the grant program.
This year's concert series will include the following artists. All concerts are at 6:30 PM and approximately one hour long. All concerts are held at the Glendale Public Library (5959 W Brown Ave Glendale, AZ).
September 28: The Mill Ave Chamber Players
October 26th: Dave Schmidt Quartet
January 25: Pangean Orchestra
Feb 22: MACP - Children's concert
March 22: Tetra String Quartet
April 26: GCC Guitar Ensemble
As part of the grant program, we give feedback forms to audience members:
Feedback forms stated:
“The fact that musicians talk to us about what they’re about to do and allow questions at the end is really cool!”
“Thank you for this. It enhances the quality of life in Glendale."
“I appreciate the educational part of the evening. Glendale is a better city for getting the community together in events like this one.”
